As the days get cooler, Barrington residents begin to look forward to the annual Fall Festival. Scheduled for October 8th, this year’s festival promises entertainment for all ages.

The festival runs from 10am to 4pm along Clements Bridge Road between Atlantic Avenue and Gloucester Pike. Convenient, free parking is located in the Edmund’s building on Gloucester Pike with a free shuttle to and from the festival.

One of the festival’s big draws, the bbq cook-off, will again feature contestants looking to prove that their sauces, ribs and wings are the best. When the tastes and wonderful smells of the cook-off get visitors really hungry, they can head to the food court for some lunch or an enticing snack.

The festival always provides a lot for children to enjoy. There will be a petting zoo, pony rides and hay rides. The kids can play games and make crafts or spend some time bouncing in the moon bounce.

For music lovers there will be two stages. The first stage, located by the bbq cook-off, will feature live rock bands. The second, located in the middle of the festival, features oldies group Midlife Crisis from 11am-1:30pm and kids from Main Stage singing from 2-4pm.

In between the cook-off, music stages and kid’s activities, visitors can stroll along Clements Bridge Road seeing what various vendors and crafters have for sale.

There is still time to register. Crafters and vendors can contact Cammi Bradley at xxx. Cook-off contestants can contact Cathy Parker at xxx.

Raindate for the festival is October 9th.
